Our three tips will help prepare your windows for the colder temperatures and keep your home warm and cozy.\r\n<br><br>\r\n<strong>1. DO A THOROUGH CLEANING<\/strong>\r\n<br><br>\r\nCleaning your windows is essential for ensuring the proper functioning of the mechanisms (operator, multi-point locking system).\r\n<br><br>\r\nMake sure to use the right products to avoid damaging the PVC finish or hardware components. Avoid abrasive products and opt for soap and a soft cloth instead.\r\n<br><br>\r\nIt is advisable to lubricate the mechanisms, hinges, and tracks annually as a preventive measure.\r\n<br><br>\r\n<strong>2. STORE YOUR SCREENS<\/strong>\r\n<br><br>\r\nFor sliding or double-hung windows, this precaution will prevent damage due to snow accumulation, as the screens for these models are located outside the house. This way, you can extend the lifespan of your screens.\r\n<br><br>\r\nFor casement windows, we also recommend storing the screens. The absence of screens will promote air circulation and reduce the risk of condensation.
